Who is Norm Wensor?
Norm Wensor is one of the founding coaches and team managers involved in the formation of the junior cricket club in the late 1970’s. We started with 13 or 14 players, filling two under- 12 teams. In the first season, one team did not win a game and the other managed a draw, but still no wins. In our second season, all players returned to the club.
Norm remained in these roles for nine years as his boys, Jeffrey and Graeme, progressed through the junior ranks.
Norm made a comeback as a senior player (having not played for some 20 years) joining Graeme in our third eleven (at that time our lowest team). Norm captained that team to a premiership in 1984/85.
Over 25 years Norm Wensor set a high level of sportsmanship in all his involvements with both the junior and senior sections of the club.
